Original Article: The Scarlets
Healing the Wounds charity and Mr Sheen, a patron of theirs, were welcomed to Parc y Scarlets by Scarlets Head of Regional Development Gareth Jenkins.
Healing the Wounds is a charity which delivers treatment of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) in serving personnel, Veterans and those who have suffered trauma from serving their community such as Police, Fire and Ambulance Services and their families.
Mr Sheen said: “Healing the Wounds is doing such hugely important work providing support and help for our troops after they have done so much for us.
“Mental health issues still have such a stigma attached to them, and these incredibly brave men and women, having faced such horrors, deserve the very best that we can provide for them in order to once again lead healthy, pain-free lives. Healing the Wounds does exactly that and I can think of no more worthy a cause to support.”
Rachel Phillips, from Healing the Wounds added: “Healing The Wounds has received tremendous support from Welsh communities and having the opportunity to offer treatments at fantastic venues such as Parc y Scarlets makes all the difference.
“Our goal is to provide a dedicated treatment facility where we’ll be able to provide short-term residential treatment courses. In the interim we are extremely appreciative of the help and support we receive from places like Parc y Scarlets.
“Our future plans are to provide a residential facility that will give them the treatment they deserve in a peaceful, home from home environment.”

The Passion: Don’t tamper with one-off says Michael Sheen
The South Wales Evening Post published an article today where Michael said the memory of the three-day outdoor theatrical should not be tampered with and that it “exemplified the spirit of the whole town”.
“The power was that it was a one-off event that no-one knew what they would be a part of or see.
“The Passion and what it was and is should not be tampered with. If it inspires other people to come together to do something to bring the community together in the same way that would be fantastic.”
The Gospel of Us is a feature film version of last year’s Passion play, and had its world premiere in Port Talbot on Sunday. If you haven’t seen my pictures of the red carpet yet, you can view them in the Gallery. The Gospel of Us will be released in UK cinemas on 13 April.
