Michael Sheen becomes the patron of the West Glamorgan Council on Alcohol and Drug Abuse. The Welsh charity is behind the upcoming Pili Pala Festival, a celebration of Welsh music and literature, in Swansea. The festival will feature an alcohol-free zone. New second version of poster for Mariah Mundi and the Midas Box
A second version of the poster for Mariah Mundi and the Midas Box has been released. Michael Sheen plays Captain Charity and is featured in a new pose. In this new poster, the film’s star, Aneurin Barnard is placed centrally, with the other characters around him.

Michael Sheen joins Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama
According to a recent article by the BBC, Michael Sheen, along with fellow Welsh actor Jonathan Pryce, have taken on new roles chairing the institution.
Their roles involve them representing the College at home and abroad. Michael Sheen recently represented the college during the unveiling of a star on the Hollywood Walk Of Fame for Richard Burton.

Admission DVD/Bluray release date
Admission, the film starring Tina Fey and Paul Rudd, has a DVD/Bluray release date of July 9th for US. The film features a brief appearance from Michael Sheen as Fey’s character’s boyfriend, Mark.

Although there has not been any news of a theatrical release of this film in the US, and there is unlikely to be one due to its poor performance in the US box office, it does look like there will be a European release on DVD/Bluray, but the date is not available yet.
Michael Sheen backs Icon Project
The Icon Project, a movie and mutimedia project, is backed by Michael Sheen. In 2012, the Icon Project won a grant to work with a 100 children aged 11-19 to create a 3D music video. This year, the Arts Council of Wales has granted the Icon Project to travel in Neath Port Valley and Swansea Valley in Wales to set up workshops encouraging children to be creative.
