To mark BBC2 as the “principle home of BBC films”, the channel will run a weekend of movies later in the month.

On ITV1 tonight at 10pm, Dermot O’Leary reveals the amazing line up of stars and footballing legends taking part in Soccer Aid 2010, including Robbie Williams, Mike Myers, Zinedine Zidane and of course Michael Sheen.

As captain of the ‘Rest Of The World’ we figure that he will get at least a mention. It is only on for 10 minutes and I will of course be recording this and adding to the Video Gallery later.

The next episode of 30 Rock (Episode 22 of season 4) featuring Michael Sheen as Wesley Snipes is set to air 20th May.

Michael Sheen will be on the British morning breakfast television show GMTV (ITV 1) next Friday, 26th February 2010, presumable to talk about Alice In Wonderland.

The programme starts at 6am until 9:25am. It is unclear at this time the exact time slot Michael will be on.

According to The Age, Australian TV channel ABC1 will be showing’ War With The World’ on January 11th at 8:40pm. The biopic about science fiction writer HG Wells  features Michael Sheen in the lead role.

The drama tells the story of Wells’ transformation from self-confident womaniser, socialist radical and young literary prophet to burdened missionary, dedicated to creating a World State that will avert man’s headlong course towards imminent annihilation.

Ruth Jones, from BBC1′s Gavid & Stacey appears in this charming comedy about a child’s Christmases during the 1980′s.

She plays a mum so house proud she stacks her towels in order, measures sliced carrots and washes the soap. Back then her OCD was better known as housekeeping.

Michael Sheen narrates as her now grown-up son, Owen. He looks back at three Christmases, when his mum fussed, his dad vegged out on the sofa, his competitive uncle Huw bragged about his latest success, and his other uncle, Gorwel, lived up to a waste-of-space reputation.

For anyone who grew up in the 80s, it’s a nostalgic reminder, especially when Huw gives Maurice a state-of-the-art Sinclair ZX Spectrum then spends the day trying to load a game from temperamental and nerve-shredding shrieking tapes.
