Derren Brown shows Michael Sheen his portrait
This evening, Derren Brown made a post on his blog where he detailed the full process of his portrait of his friend Michael Sheen.Apparently, Michael was very pleased with the picture, but for some reason, Derren asked him not to smile too much in this photo.
Derren goes on to say that he did not paint the picture for Michael, but he may give him a print of it. Derren’s work is usually sold through a gallery exhibition.
You can view Derren’s blog HERE.
All the pictures Derren posted as the work was in progress have been added to the gallery and you can view them HERE.

More pictures of Michael Sheen at Free Belarus event
More pictures from the Free Belarus event that took place the other day at the Serpentine Gallery in Hyde Park have been added to the Gallery.
The event was organised by Index On Censorship to protest against President Alexander Lukashenko’s regime in Belarus and the alleged incarceration of hundreds of pro-democracy protesters. Presidential candidate Andrei Sannikov is among those imprisoned, and Michael Sheen, along with others such as Joanna Lumley, drew attention to the cause on Monday by reading a freedom manifesto and letters from the political prisoners.

Michael Sheen joins Joanna Lumley at Free Belarus Event
Index On Censorship held an event at the Serpentine Gallery in Hyde Park this afternoon, calling for free speech in Belarus.
According to a statement on their website, in one of his last public acts, dissident, playwright and ex-Czech Republic President Václav Havel, who sadly passed away yesterday, signed a statement calling for free speech in Belarus, along with Ai Weiwei, Sir Tom Stoppard and many more including Michael Sheen.
The event today was attended by Michael Sheen, Joanna Lumley, and Samuel West. Michael read a manifesto for freedom for Belarus’s artists and activists to children to draw attention to the plight of imprisoned Belarusian presidential candidate Andrei Sannikov.
A few press photos plus a couple of photos that appeared on Twitter have now been added to the Gallery.

A copy has been added to the Gallery.
If you have any photos of you meeting Michael at the Young Vic, or any other occasion, then please send it to me and I will add it to the Gallery.
New promo image of Michael Sheen as Aro for Breaking Dawn
While pottering around the internet this weekend, I came across this promo image of Michael Sheen as Aro for Breaking Dawn, the final part in the Twilight Saga.
Part 1 of Breaking Dawn was released on 18 November, and I am to understand that Michael Sheen only appears in a small post credits scene. Part 2 of Breaking Dawn, which features slightly more of Michael Sheen’s Aro, is to be released next year on 16 November 2012.
What do you think of the picture?
Personally, I don’t like it. I am not sure what has been done to the image in post production, but I don’t think it looks like Michael at all. The hairline on the wig looks terribly fake, he has far too much make up on, and they have photoshopped out all the character in his face. I realise Aro is meant to be creepy, but this is just awful.
Regardless of what I think, a copy has been added to the Gallery.
