Today’s Press Highlights
‘A Special Relationship’ was listed in Dark Horizon’s article “Notable Films of 2010″. There is also a (not great quality) picture included which I have added below.
It shows Michael in his final turn as Tony Blair, set during the 1990′s when he was still Prime Minister and the film focuses on Britain’s relationship with the US, specifically Blair’s relationship with President Clinton (showed here played by Dennis Quaid).
The Special Relationship is due for broadcast on US television, and worldwide theatrical release, in May 2010.

Michael named #23 in GQ ‘Best Dressed’ poll
Michael Sheen is listed as #23 in GQ’s Best Dressed Celebrity 2010. The list is topped by his Twilight co-star Robert Pattinson. Others featured in the list are Jude Law (11th), David Walliams (13th), Sir Elton John (14th), Daniel Day-Lewis (15th), Bill Nighy (25th), and The Wire stars Idris Elba and Dominic West (26th).
The Worst Dressed list was topped by Priminister Gordon Brown and also features Russell Brand, the Top Gear presenters, Piers Morgan and Johnny Borrell.
The full list of the 50 Best dressed can be seen in GQ’s February issue. The top 10 can be viewed here.
I am glad to see Michael made it onto the right list!
New Alice In Wonderland pictures
There has been some new pictures of the Alice In Wonderland characters released including a bigger version of a previously seen picture of the White Rabbit, which is voiced by Michael Sheen.
Other characters we get a look at are the March Hare and the Dormouse including a poster that shows all the main character sat together at the table having tea. The poster and White Rabbit pics have been added to our Gallery.

‘A Child’s Christmases’ available to download
For all those that were unable to catch the BBC 4 comedy drama last night about a Welsh family’s Christmases throughtout the 80′s, you can now download it from our downloads section of the site.
Ruth Jones plays a mum so houseproud she stacks her towels in order, measures sliced carrots and washes the soap. Back then her OCD was better known as housekeeping.
Michael Sheen narrates as her now grown-up son, Owen. He looks back at three Christmases, when his mum fussed, his dad vegged out on the sofa, his competitive uncle Huw bragged about his latest success, and his other uncle, Gorwel, lived up to a waste-of-space reputation.
NOTE: Please be warned this is a rather large file and may take a while to download.
A wrap for ‘Beautiful Boy’
As mentioned previously by Michael Sheen in his recent 35mm interview, he has now finished filming ‘Beautiful Boy’. Variety are now reporting the production of the film, also starring Maria Bello and directed by Shawn Ku, has now completed.
There is still no further news at present as to a release date other than 2010.
Bello and Sheen play a married couple on the verge of separation when they are hit with the news their 18-year-old son committed a mass shooting at his college, before taking his own life.

Michael Sheen narrates on A Childs Christmases
Ruth Jones, from BBC1′s Gavid & Stacey appears in this charming comedy about a child’s Christmases during the 1980′s.
She plays a mum so house proud she stacks her towels in order, measures sliced carrots and washes the soap.
For anyone who grew up in the 80s, it’s a nostalgic reminder, especially when Huw gives Maurice a state-of-the-art Sinclair ZX Spectrum then spends the day trying to load a game from temperamental and nerve-shredding shrieking tapes.
You can catch this on BBC4 tonight at 10pm.
