The Gospel of Us, the film adaptation of the ground breaking theatre, The Passion of Port Talbot, is out on DVD in the UK on 9th July.

Written by author Owen Sheers,  this non-stop three-day production has been made into a 2hr fiction film entitled The Gospel Of Us by Dave McKean, who has woven together the play’s key dramatic scenes with his visual artistry to bring this bold adaptation to cinemas.

The Gospel of Us had its world premiere at the Apollo Cinema Port Talbot on Easter Sunday this year, marking the one-year anniversary of the play before playing at cinemas nationwide from April 13th.

The DVD is released on Monday and includes the exclusive extras: The Town Tells Its Story documentary, alternative poster artwork by Dave McKean, director’s commentary, Tanygroes – short film and deleted scenes.
