So as I mentioned on twitter yesterday, Michael Sheen has mentioned in a recent press junket interview that he will not be doing Tim Burton’s Dark Shadows after all.

Yesterday he was doing several interviews as part of the promotion for Woody Allen’s Midnight In Paris, which opens the Cannes Film Festival next week.

Rumours about Michael Sheen appearing in Dark Shadows have been floating about the internet since mid March. During his media blitz promoting his Passion play in April, he mentioned both on Simon Mayo’s BBC Radio 2 show, and on Channel 4′s Fern show, that he was doing a film this summer with Tim Burton.

Why he is no longer doing it, he refuses to say, and at this stage, there is no clear reason why, although no doubt it will not be long before the media start speculating.
