New project – “Few Options, All Bad”
IMDB are listing a new project for Michael, and unlike ‘The Codfather’, it is not showing as rumoured.
It is called “Few Options, All Bad” and Michael is listed as ‘Florist’. Other cast members listed Rainn Wilson (The Office US), and Brad Dourif (Lord of the Rings).
Written and directed by George Pappy. Here is a synopsis from the Facebook Page:
FRANK CONNOR, convicted drug smuggler, model prisoner… Now, a free man. Twenty-two years in prison was a life sentence for a 21-year-old kid, but he’s finally out… And ready to start over.
But with no job, no money… His mother devastated by the conviction… Even his cousin DON, the only person in a position to help, hides him in the garage. Life on the outside isn’t starting out the way Frank imagined.
Enter childhood friend RUSS MORGAN, a second-rate strip club manager… And the man who should have gone to prison 22 years ago in that drug bust… If he hadn’t left Frank behind to save his own neck. Russ heard Frank got out and wants to make amends, turn back the clock and give Frank a second chance. It’s a simple proposition: Take a small, easy job at the strip club, no questions asked.
Too bad he didn’t mention that the club’s owned by CHRIS PENDLER, mobster, killer, and the man who hired Russ and Frank to run drugs for him 22 years ago. And Pendler wants payback for the loss of those drugs… He has a proposition of his own for club’s newest employee. Now Frank Connor has few options, and they’re all bad.
No other further details are available at the moment. I will update you when there are.

Congratulations to Shawn Ku & Beautiful Boy
Along with all the great press reviews Beautiful Boy has been receiving, and being snapped up by Anchor Bay films, more good news is being reported by TIFF.net.
The Prize of the International Critics (FIPRESCI Prize) for the Discovery programme is awarded to Shawn Ku for Beautiful Boy (USA). The jury remarked: “This film shows its audience that in a world of chaos and insanity, humanity is the only key to life.”
I have to say guys, this film cannot get general release soon enough!
