Michael Sheen loses to Al Pacino in Lead Actor Emmy

Commiserations to Michael Sheen for Emmy disappointment

Most of you will already know by now, but unfortunately Michael Sheen did not win his nominated category of Lead Actor in a miniseries, at the Primetime Emmy’s last night.

I think I can say for us all that we are bitterly disappointed but he was in a category with some extremely talented and strong candidates. I think most people would struggle to beat the winner, Al Pacino, in an awards race. This year was just not his time.

It is very sad girls, I agree, but as I said before console yourself with the fact that not many actors out there could have won against Al Pacino – the man is a legend!

One of the presenters of a morning tv show here in UK (GMTV) said the other day that he had spoken to Michael at the BAFTA Tea Party and he had told the guy he expected to lose to Pacino. I am sure he is gutted like we are, but to lose to one of the greatest actors living is not a failure.

Well even being a longshot I was convinced he was going to win, even my mom was cheering for him over Al Pacino. It was a sour moment when he didn’t win but he will hopefully be awarded somewhere else soon =).
