Commiserations to Michael Sheen for Emmy disappointment
Most of you will already know by now, but unfortunately Michael Sheen did not win his nominated category of Lead Actor in a miniseries, at the Primetime Emmy’s last night.
I think I can say for us all that we are bitterly disappointed but he was in a category with some extremely talented and strong candidates. I think most people would struggle to beat the winner, Al Pacino, in an awards race. This year was just not his time.

Michael Sheen to do 2 part documentary on Passion of Port Talbot
Michael Sheen is set to do a 2 x 60 minute documentary called Passion Of Port Talbot, which sees him help the locals act out a modern version of The Passion, developed by Welsh poet Owen Sheers.
The Prospect Cymru production will hopefully air in Spring 2011. It was commissioned by BBC Wales’ Judith Winnan.
Back in November last year, it was announced that Michael would be the creative director, and star, in a performance of The Passion play Easter weekend April 2011. Set around his hometown of Port Talbot as part of a National Theatre Wales production, he hopes to revive a town tradition and include the local people and locations.
In April this year, Michael was seen handing out leaflets to locals in Port Talbot, to encourage their participation.
Tickets for the production go on sale December 6th 2010.
