Dead Long Enough is to get a re-release on DVD by Bluebell Films. The film stars Michael Sheen as Harry Jones, a successful womanising archaeologist turned TV celebrity.

A limited number is currently available on Amazon UK through re-sellers as this 2005 DVD is only available in Ireland, distributed through Eclipse Pictures.

Presumably Bluebell Films are re-releasing this due to Michael Sheen’s increasing popularity. Amazon UK have a release date of 13th September, and it has a lovely new cover too. If you have not already seen this film, then I can not recommend it strongly enough. It is a lovely, funny story and a brilliant cast. Michael Sheen is absolutely gorgeous, wearing plenty of black leather through most of the film (so that will please the Lucian fans), and it is also quite unique in that it is one of the very few films that Michael uses his own natural Welsh accent.

Will this be released in the US too?

It doesnt look like it at the moment. The distributor in this instance, is Bluebell Films who according to their website distribute to the UK and Ireland. Hopefully, a US distributor will make the same wise decision and realise that Michael’s A list status warrants re-release of his back catalogue.

I have some news coming up soon about another bit of Michael’s back catalogue that is currently impossible to get hold of on DVD, but I am awaiting some confirmation of dates then I shall make the announcement – so watch this space!!
