Alice In Wonderland nominated for National Movie Award
The UK’s National Movie Awards have commenced voting.
Alice In Wonderland is one of the nominations under the category of ‘Fantasy’. Michael’s co-stars Helena Bonham Carter and Johnny Depp are also both up under the Performance Of The Year category.
UK voters will be entered into a prize draw to win VIP tickets to attend the ceremony. To vote click HERE
The winners will be announced NMA ceremony hosted by James Nesbitt LIVE on ITV1, 26th May 2010.
Bill Condon added as director of Breaking Dawn
Bill Condon has officially been named as director of the fourth episode in the teen fantasy drama Twilight: Breaking Dawn which sees Michael Sheen return as head Volturi vampire, Aro.
Breaking Dawn is not due to hit theatres until 2011.

High-Res stills from The Special Relationship added to the Gallery
We have a number of lovely hi-res stills of HBO’s The Special Relationship that have now been added to the Gallery.
The Richard Loncraine-directed film is the third part in “Frost/Nixon” writer Peter Morgan’s ‘Blair trilogy’ following on from 2003 British TV movie “The Deal” and 2006 Oscar-winning feature “The Queen”. Michael will once again reprise the role of former British Prime Minister Tony Blair as he did in the previous two.
‘The Special Relationship’ deals with the “unique and sometimes turbulent political relationship between newly-installed British Prime Minister Tony Blair and U.S. President Bill Clinton as the two dynamic leaders become co-stars on the world stage.”

The drama will get a UK theatrical release on 7th May, and will be aired on the HBO channel in the US at 9pm EST on 29th May.

Michael Sheen set for Woody Allen’s Midnight In Paris
Stage veterans Kathy Bates, Michael Sheen, and Nina Arianda have been added to the company of Woody Allen’s Midnight in Paris, according to the Hollywood Reporter.
The movie will be a romantic comedy about a family traveling to the French capital for business. The party will include a young engaged couple who are forced to confront the illusion that a life different from their own is better.
The film will star Owen Wilson, Marion Cotillard, and Rachel McAdams, and also feature Tom Hiddleston, Corey Stoll, Mimi Kennedy, Kurt Fuller, and Carla Bruni-Sarkozy.
Bates won an Academy Award for Misery and received Oscar nominations for Primary Colors and About Schmidt. Among her stage credits are ‘night, Mother on Broadway and Frankie & Johnny in the Clair de Lune Off-Broadway. She also starred in TV version of the Broadway musical Annie.
Sheen’s Broadway credits include Amadeus and Frost/Nixon, in which he played talk show host David Frost. Arianda recently concluded an acclaimed run in David Ives’ Venus in Fur at Classic Stage Company, for which she has received Lucille Lortel and Drama League Award nominations.
Filming is set to commence this summer in Paris.
