‘A Child’s Christmases’ available to download

For all those that were unable to catch the BBC 4 comedy drama last night about a Welsh family’s Christmases throughtout the 80’s, you can now download it from our downloads section of the site.

Ruth Jones plays a mum so houseproud she stacks her towels in order, measures sliced carrots and washes the soap. Back then her OCD was better known as housekeeping.

Michael Sheen narrates as her now grown-up son, Owen. He looks back at three Christmases, when his mum fussed, his dad vegged out on the sofa, his competitive uncle Huw bragged about his latest success, and his other uncle, Gorwel, lived up to a waste-of-space reputation.

NOTE: Please be warned this is a rather large file and may take a while to download.

I really enjoyed that last night. As well as watching Michael I could listen to him all day! lol The actual story was good too.

I thought it brilliant too! It rang so many familiar bells with me as well as making me laugh out loud. I knew it would be funny if written by Mark Watson, as he is a comedy genius. I have a bit of a girl-crush on Ruth Jones too.
