For all those that were unable to catch the BBC 4 comedy drama last night about a Welsh family’s Christmases throughtout the 80’s, you can now download it from our downloads section of the site.

Ruth Jones plays a mum so houseproud she stacks her towels in order, measures sliced carrots and washes the soap. Back then her OCD was better known as housekeeping.

Michael Sheen narrates as her now grown-up son, Owen. He looks back at three Christmases, when his mum fussed, his dad vegged out on the sofa, his competitive uncle Huw bragged about his latest success, and his other uncle, Gorwel, lived up to a waste-of-space reputation.

NOTE: Please be warned this is a rather large file and may take a while to download.

Michael Sheen narrates on A Childs Christmases

Posted on December 17th, 2009 by madnad  |  No Comments »

Ruth Jones, from BBC1’s Gavid & Stacey appears in this charming comedy about a child’s Christmases during the 1980’s.

She plays a mum so house proud she stacks her towels in order, measures sliced carrots and washes the soap.

For anyone who grew up in the 80s, it’s a nostalgic reminder, especially when Huw gives Maurice a state-of-the-art Sinclair ZX Spectrum then spends the day trying to load a game from temperamental and nerve-shredding shrieking tapes.

You can catch this on BBC4 tonight at 10pm.

Screencaps of the ‘You’re The Boss’ DVD have been added to the Gallery.

In ‘You’re The Boss’ Michael Sheen presents a hilarious look at the world of Football Managers. There are hints of Frost, Kenneth Williams, and of course Cloughie in Michael’s presentation as he takes the viewer on a tour of some managerial highlights: the rants, the feuds, the scandals and much more as we get inside the minds of the men who have enthralled us from the era of Shankly and Clough right up to the modern age of Wenger, Mourinho and Ferguson.
