We have added a project page for the new project Beautiful Boy.  Michael told ComingSoon.net in a recent Q&A that he will be commencing filming in November in Los Angeles.

So far, the project has actress Maria Bello (Coyote Ugly, A History of Violence) and is about a unhappily married couple who learns their son is the shooter in a college campus massacre.  The project is listed as being written and to be directed by Shawn Ku.
